Yes, I couldn't agree with you more. I remember reading Sinclair Lewis's book Main Street many years ago. There was much of his worldview that I wouldn't agree with now, but in critiquing some aspects of the developing American culture of his day, he spoke of how, (quoting from memory) 'the very attempts to be different are what make it all the same'. Which, it seems to me, is the point that you are making and a reflection that there is no order outside God's order, only chaos and disorder.
